Yes and no. What is best sex position depends on a number of factors.  First there are several questions that need to be addressed.  Is it possible that you are able to find out if you are asking the question from your individual point of you? Or are you asking the question because you and this includes your partner want mutually enjoyable sex?  Or last but not the least , are you asking the question from the point of being pregnant?  You see now, do you not, that it is simply not a question of telling you that this sex position is the best or that is better.

There are only half dozen sex positions and the great Indian classic, Kama Sutra says that there are only four sex positions and all the rest are only variations of the four. The acrobatic and ‘twisted knots’ sex positions are merely salad dressing and nothing more.

If you are very tall and heavy, and she is tiny and on the lean side, then any position that has you putting all your weight on her is not a good position.

If a Gallup poll were to be taken of all the sex therapists in the world  and they were asked which sex position is the best, you will find four positions  are mentioned by 90 % of them. They are the woman on top position, the side-by-side position, the woman on all fours and the man  entering her from behind and the woman  lying on her back with her feet held up by the man under his arms so that her lower back is raised and maximum penetration is possible.  The other common factor in all these positions is that the woman receives both clitoral and vaginal stimulation so that she can have orgasms.

The best sex position then is the one that gives both of you maximum pleasure  and if you are both adventurous then there are always variations of these four that you can try. Lots of luck to both of you!

Here are three detailed explanations of some of the top Kama Sutra positions.

The Basket Position: In The Basket Position the man should be sitting down with his back against the bed rest while the woman sits on him controlling the penetration. The man will then passionately penetrate the woman, for deeper penetration he can grab her pelvis for extra support. This position is exciting for both partners giving them control over the movements and penetration.

The Clip Position: The clip position is extremely exciting for both couples but the man gets to lay back and enjoy the passion while watching his partner in action. Similar to the basket position the man will lie flat on his back and the woman will take control and ride the man with passionate sex. With hands freed the man could feel the woman’s breast and clitoris given back reward for the hard work from his partner.

The Doggie Position: The doggy position is as exciting for the man as it is for the woman. In this position the man can either stand up straight while the woman bends over or they can both get on their knees. There is much more control for the man when standing straight and this position allows for the woman to have her share of control also. While having passionate sex in this position the man becomes the dominant controller but he can allow his partner to have some control also by allowing her to move back and forth at the penetration desired.

When practicing new sexual positions be creative, there are many ways we can position our bodies together to form sexual positions.

I would like to illustrate for you three of my favorite Kama Sutra positions, I will illustrate below explanations that will serve as a basic guide to performing some of the most enjoyable Kama Sutra positions.

1. The Basket Position. In this position, the man will sit down with his back, comfortably against the wall. The women will gently straddle completely onto him allowing him to gently penetrate her. He will then sustain her pelvis and pull her in for much deeper penetration. While the woman is doing much of the thrusting movements, he in turn can kiss and caress her breasts.

2. The Clip. In this position, the woman is in total control. The man will lie flat on the bed, with legs stretched out. The woman will sit on top of him allowing him to penetrate her. The woman will thrust back and forth while leaning back slightly while in straddle position. The man has a tasty view of his woman’s beautiful breast, and buttocks. The man can rub on her clitoris allowing her to climax.

3. The Doggie-Style Position. This by far is the BEST of all positions in my opinion.

The woman crouches down on all fours, with her legs apart. The man will penetrate her from behind either vaginally or anally. The man will either hold on to her waist or get deeper penetration by holding onto her hair or shoulders. The male has a dominant role in this position. This position resembles a position assumed by a mating dog. A fun variation to the doggie-style positions and to enhance the feeling of deep penetration, is if the woman on all fours has her head and torso lower than her hips, while being taken from behind.

Kama Sutra is a very erotic way of enhanced love making.
