Kama Sutra – The Proper Application Of The Kama Sutra
Posted on July 11th, 2009 No commentsWhen Vatsyayana first penned the Kama Sutra, he had a few important things in mind. He wanted to teach proper Hindu gentlemen of his time the lessons about the major goals in life and how these goals were to be obtained. One of those goals was Sutra, or pleasure derived from experiences. Though the term Sutra could mean pleasure from other than erotic or sexual stimulus, the Kama Sutra has come to be synonymous with sexually learned and those who have studied it find themselves sought after as sexual partners.
While the sexual aspect of the Kama Sutra alone is very educational, the further development of attached emotions and philosophy was also important to Vatsyayana when he wrote the text. This is evidenced by the following quotation from Vatsyayana’s Kama Sutra : “Such passionate actions and amorous gesticulations or movements, which arise on the spur of the moment, and during sexual intercourse, cannot be defined, and are as irregular as dreams. A horse having once attained the fifth degree of motion goes on with blind speed, regardless of pits, ditches, and posts in his way; and in the same manner a loving pair become blind with passion in the heat of congress, and go on with great impetuosity, paying not the least regard to excess.
For this reason one who is well acquainted with the science of love (Kama Sutra), and knowing his own strength, as also the tenderness, impetuosity, and strength of the young women, should act accordingly. The various modes of enjoyment are not for all times or for all persons, but they should only be used at the proper time, and in the proper countries and places.”
What Was Vatsyayana Trying To Say?
Vatsyayana knew that people were very interested in the study of human sexual behaviors. After all, mankind has not existed for so many years without some first hand knowledge of the subject. However, as an avid scholar of human behavior, he also knew that knowledge of the art of making love was not, in itself, enough to provide for happy relationships. Physical attraction can only reach so far and two people who cannot communicate will not remain together for very long. He also knew that there is a time for everything. There are occasions where certain displays would be unwelcome or even inappropriate.
Throughout the majority of Vatsyayana’s text, he tried to show readers of the Kama Sutra how important the emotions and feelings that accompanied congress really were. He advised repeatedly to have an understanding of ones mate and their needs and personality. Without such knowledge and understanding, a relationship would be doomed to failure and unhappiness.
How Does It Apply Today?
Despite advancement and civilization, the human creature is much the same as it was eons ago. We still share the same emotions of our ancestors though our choice of display may differ. What Vatsyayana wrote in the Kama Sutra of his time is still very poignant today. For a relationship to work, more than physical action is required. One must apply themselves to learning their partners quirks and needs.
Listen to your partner and act on what you have heard. As Vatsyayana understood so well, Love is made with the heart, not with the body. Share emotions with your partner and the sexual relationship will benefit also. -
Kama Sutra – Some Great Kama Sutra Positions
Posted on July 10th, 2009 No commentsThe Kama Sutra is full of wonderfully pleasurable positions that can help to increase the level of passion and excitement in the bedroom. This article will aim to discuss some of the most popular positions that you may or may not have tried with your partner already.
The Half-Pressed Position
The half-pressed Kama Sutra position is a great way to stimulate pleasure for both the man and woman in the relationship. One of the best things about the half-pressed position is that it enables the woman’s clitoris to be stimulated during intercourse. This is how it works -
The man starts on both knees and pulls the woman in towards him. She is on the back and should proceed to press her thighs up against either side of his waste. The next step is for the man. He should then take one of her legs and bend it at the knee and pull her foot in towards his chest area, where it will stay pressed up between both pecks.
He should place on hand on the top of her ankle of the raised leg and the other on her knee. Her leg should be pressed firmly up against her chest. From this position, her vagina should tighten, therefore enabling her clitoris to feel pressure during intercourse.
This is a great position for both members of the relationship as the pleasure attained can be enormous when done correctly. If you haven’t tried this before then I recommend you give it a go!
The Splitting Of A Bamboo
The splitting of a bamboo is a great position that also enables pressure to be placed on the clitoris. This on is very similar to the pressed position apart from a couple of details. First of all the position starts with the woman lying on her back and the man on top(missionary). From there the man should bring one of his legs up so that his knee is bent. His other leg should stay stretched out.
From here he should take her leg on the same side as his kneeling leg and place it over his shoulder on the same side. She should then embrace his right pelvis with her hands. Once this has occurred he should then lean forward and continue from there. This again will help to create an enormous amount of tightness around the vagina and both people will experience huge pleasure. Give it a go!If you want to learn more about The Kama Sutra including the latest news and reviews, then Kama Sutramanual.com is the place to go!

Kama Sutra – Unveiling The Secrets Of The Kama Sutra
Posted on July 9th, 2009 No commentsWhen it comes to The Kama Sutra, more specifically the sexual positions of The Kama Sutra, most people tend to shy away from the more extravagant methods that have huge potential to create a lot of pleasure for both people in a relationship. So what are some of these positions?
Lying Down Positions
There are many positions that require both people to lie down. Some of these positions you may have already found yourself doing in the past. Here’s a couple of them:
The “Flower in Bloom” is where the woman clasps onto her buttocks with the palms of her hands, while spreading her thighs wide and digging her heals beside her hips, while the man caresses her breasts at the same time.
The “Vyomapada”(more commonly known as the sky foot) is where the woman grabs onto her feet and pulls them up to her hair, whilst laying on her back. This requires some practice and also a bit of flexibility too!
The “Monkey” seems a little weird at fist but can create a lot of pleasure for both people. It’s when the woman grabs her ankles and raises them skyward whilst the man is on top kissing and ’slapping’ her breasts. Try it out, it’s great fun, even if it’s just for a laugh!
Standing Positions
Standing positions are the most erotic of all positions. Some of them are very extravagant, but extremely pleasurable at the same time. Here’s a couple for you to try:
The “Avalambitaka” requires the man to be standing up against the wall, holding her underneath the thighs, which she squeezes up against his sides. She then pushes against the wall back and forth, while the man suspends her.
The “Traivikrama” is where the man lifts one of the woman’s legs up so it is clasped behind his knee. She has her arms around his neck and he makes love to her. This one is very erotic, give it a try!
The “Janukurpara” requires the man to put his elbows under her knees, clasp onto her buttocks and lift her up, while she hangs onto his neck. This one has the potential to create an enormous amount of pleasure for both people.
When it comes to positions of The Kama Sutra, there really are too many to try. I mean, you’ve probably already tried many, so make it your goal to only try some of the extravagant ones, because they are a lot of fun for the both of you!If you want to learn more about The Kama Sutra including the latest news and reviews, then Kama Sutramanual.com is the place to go!
